Easy Apple Crisp (Vegan + GF) made with coconut, oats, almonds, and maple syrup, and flavoured with cinnamon & nutmeg. A simple, delicious vegan dessert.
It’s apple season! Anybody else happy about that?
I can’t say I’m happy about moving into autumn, weather-wise, but I’m so excited about all the fruits and veggies that are coming into season.
What better way to celebrate it than with apple crisp. I’ve made this several times by now, and it’s always a big hit.
It has never been easier to make apple crisp.
Simply slice up some apples, toss them in a baking dish, and mix them with cinnamon and nutmeg.
For the topping, mix oats, shredded coconut, almonds, and maple syrup in a bowl and crumble over the apples for a crumbly, sweet, and crispy topping.
30-35 minutes later and your apple crisp is ready!
So simple, yet so good.
This apple crisp is not only simple, it’s also perfectly sweet, slightly crispy, and so delicious!
Plus, they’re refined sugar-free, gluten-free friendly, and vegan.
I know you’d love this apple crisp! It would make the perfect autumn dessert for any celebrating or even as a weeknight treat.

- 2 large apples
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 cup almonds, roughly chopped (33 g)
- 2/3 cup oats (70 g)*
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut (40 g)
- 1/4 cup maple syrup (68 g)
Preheat the oven to 175° C (345° F).
Chop the apples into thin slices and mix them with cinnamon and nutmeg. Place the apples in a 15x25 cm form (6x10 inch). Other forms are fine as well as long as the apple slices fill out the bottom, and just be aware that the baking time might vary.
Mix the remaining ingredients in a bowl and evenly spread it over the apples.
Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and crispy on top.
